TIME AND BUSINESS HOURS
- Time Zone (GMT+3): Sharm El-Sheikh will be on Daylight Saving Time (Summer Time).
- Retail & Malls: Most shops in areas like Soho Square or Naama Bay open between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM and remain open until 12:00 AM (Midnight).
- Old Market (Bazaars): Shops typically peak in the evening, often staying open until 1:00 AM.
- Exemptions: Essential services like pharmacies and supermarkets often operate 24/7.
CLIMATE
- Maximum Temperature: Around 95°F (35°C). We recommend a high-SPF sunscreen to mitigate the effects of the intense midday sun.
- Minimum Temperature: Around 75°F (24°C). Evenings remain warm and pleasant.
- Sea Temperature: Approx. 79°F (26°C), ideal for water sports without a thick wetsuit.
CURRENCY & EXCHANGING MONEY

PROHIBITED ITEMS
For the safety and security of all participants, delegates are strictly prohibited from bringing unauthorized items into the country or the event venues. This includes, but is not limited to, drones or any unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which are strictly illegal in Egypt without prior authorization from the Ministry of Defense. Other forbidden items include compressed gasses (flammable, non-flammable and poisonous), explosives, ammunitions, fireworks and flares, miscellaneous hazardous goods (as knives and daggers, mercury, unauthorized medications, noxious materials and corrosives as acids, alkalis and wet cell batteries) and any materials deemed offensive to national values. Additionally, the export of coral reefs, seashells, or any antiquities is strictly prohibited by law.
